American Foundation for Suicide Prevention

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide. The AFSP Central Texas Chapter serves over 30 counties in Central Texas, bringing together people from all backgrounds who want to prevent suicide in their communities.

We are excited to welcome our 2024 Team AFSP runners to the 33rd Annual Austin Marathon to raise funds for prevention programs, scientific research, public education, advocacy and survivor support.

Fundraising Incentive Program
As our way of thanking you for raising funds for AFSP, we've set-up an incentive program! Every runner who raises $150 through GivenGain will get a Team AFSP Dri-Fit T-shirt. The first 10 runners who raise $500 for Team AFSP will earn a free entry into the Austin Marathon at the distance of your choice: Full Marathon, Half Marathon, or 5K.

What your Dri-fit tee in time to wear to the Austin Marathon? Raise $150 by February 9th to ensure time for your Dri-Fit tee to get to you by February 17th.

Check out what other incentive prizes we have here.

We've created a Team AFSP | Austin Marathon Gives google site to help runners reach their goals. Here you can find tips, tools, and stories.

Not a runner but still want to help? We need volunteers! If you want to volunteer with us on marathon day, sign-up here. We'll be helping at the aid station on mile 22.
