BPN x Austin Marathon: Fueling Every Step Toward the Finish Line

BPN’s connection to the Austin Marathon runs deep. It all started in 2016, when founder Nick Bare completed his first marathon right here in Austin. Since then, BPN has been committed to fueling athletes’ journeys, and now we’re thrilled to bring their top-tier products to you on race day. Every Austin Marathoner will have easy access to BPN’s gels and hydration products to support peak performance.

BPN Fueling Essentials

1. Go Gel

  • What it is: A quick, easily digestible source of 24g carbs and 110mg sodium per serving.
  • How to use it: Take one gel 15 minutes before the race, then one every 30-45 minutes during your run for steady energy.

2. Electrolytes

  • What it is: A hydration solution with 500mg sodium per serving to prevent dehydration.
  • How to use it: Mix 1-2 servings in water and sip throughout your run to stay hydrated and avoid cramps.

3. G.1.M Sport

  • What it is: A carb-packed endurance drink with 20g carbs and 350mg sodium to keep your energy steady and hydration optimized.
  • How to use it: Mix a serving in water and consume before or during your training runs to fuel up and stay hydrated.

Austin Marathon Aid Stations & Energy Zones

The Austin Marathon course is equipped with 22 well-spaced aid stations for the full marathon and 9 for the half marathon. Here’s everything you need to know about staying fueled and hydrated along the course:

Full Marathon Aid Stations

  • 22 Stations: Positioned at miles 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25.
  • BPN Go Gel Zones: Look for Go Gels at mile 9 and mile 20, where you can choose from Apple Cinnamon or Mixed Berry (caffeinated) flavors.
  • On-Course Hydration: Lemon-lime BPN electrolyte hydration will be available at each station, located at the first table to keep hydration top of mind as you pass through.

Half Marathon Aid Stations

  • 9 Stations: Positioned at miles 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 12.
  • BPN Go Gel Zone: Located at mile 9 with Apple Cinnamon and Mixed Berry (caffeinated)  flavors.
  • On-Course Hydration: Lemon-lime electrolyte hydration will also be available at every aid station for half-marathoners.
