At Austin Partners in Education (APIE), we believe education is a marathon, not a sprint. It takes all of us—our supporters, volunteers, donors, and staff—to maintain impactful programs that help students succeed. Since 2004, APIE has connected the community and the classroom to improve student college and career readiness. Through individualized academic and mentoring programs, we increase access to higher education, putting students on the path to long-term success. APIE’s Current Programs:
APIE serves students during the school day through staff and volunteer-supported programming. To learn more about our work, visit austinpartners.org.
College Readiness: Academic support for students to meet college readiness standards, allowing access to Early College High School or Career Launch schools.
Math Classroom Coaching: Academic support and STEM career awareness for middle school math students from trained volunteers.
Mentoring: Volunteers meet weekly, one-on-one with students, serving as positive role models.
GEAR UP: Tutoring for a cohort of students in math and reading over seven years as part of Austin ISD’s federal grant.
