Registration for the 2025 Ascension Seton Austin Marathon Officially Opens May 13, 2024

Launch Week Offers Many Incentives to Registrants

AUSTIN, Texas, May 6, 2024 — Registration for the 2025 Ascension Seton Austin Marathon, Half Marathon & 5k ® officially opens Tuesday, May 13th. To mark the opening, there will be a week-long celebration that includes giveaways, promotions, group runs, and social gatherings. In addition, for each registration during Launch Week, Austin Marathon will donate an entry to a runner in need as part of their Run Forward Initiative. Race organizers will work with Austin Marathon Gives charities to nominate and accept applications for the free entries.  The Austin Marathon is scheduled to take place on Sunday, February 16, 2025, in Austin, Texas.  

Launch Week marks the beginning of the most anticipated social running event of the year—the Austin Marathon. This week is all about building up the excitement leading into the main event in February. This is a perfect chance to connect and socialize with the running community, providing motivation and support that will inspire you all the way to the finish line,” says Stacy Keese, co-owner of High Five Events, the producers of the Austin Marathon.

The initial pricing structure is offered during Launch Week of May 13-21 and is as follows: Austin Marathon $139, Austin Half Marathon $119, Austin Marathon 5K $59.  Registration is available here. Those who register during Launch Week will also have the option of adding the 3M Half Marathon and receiving $10 off as part of the combo deal. Prices increase after the conclusion of Launch Week, on May 21. This year the Austin Marathon is honoring Food & Beverage Service Industry Employees with steeply discounted rates; those eligible can apply for the discount here. 

The 2025 Austin Marathon preparation is well underway and will once again see a premium swag bag and belt buckle finisher medal, plus continued participation of Central Texas nonprofits through Austin Marathon Gives, an enhanced finish line festival, complete with beer garden, a fully supported course with 22 stocked aid stations, live music throughout the course and at the finish line festival. Having start and finish locations just a few blocks apart, being in the heart of Austin’s main attractions, restaurants and hotels, and finishing in front of the picturesque Texas State Capitol makes the Austin Marathon the perfect running weekend destination.
